COAT OF ARMS AND MOTTO

The design on the Coat of Arms is based on one of the dreams of St. John BOSCO. There the Church appeared as a boat struggling through a rough, stormy sea and finally finding peace in the embrace of two pillars: on one pillar was the Holy Eucharist, and on the other, Our Lady Help of Christians. The anchor is the symbol of the virtue of Hope. The motto is taken from 1 Pet 5:7. The original Biblical text in Latin runs as follows: “Omnem sollicitudinem vestram proicientes in Eum, quoniam Ipsi cura est de vobis”. In English it says: “Cast all your anxieties on him, for he cares about you. ”

牧 徽 上 的 圖 像 來 自 聖 若 望 鮑 思 高 的 一 個 神 夢 ， 他 夢 見 教 會 的 船 ， 勝 過 兇 險 的 波 濤 ， 終 於 在 兩 條 柱 的 中 間 得 到 安 寧 ； 一 條 柱 上 有 耶 穌 聖 體 ， 另 一 條 柱 上 有 聖 母 進 教 之 佑 。 錨 是 望 德 的 標 記 。 

格 言 取 自 伯 多 祿 前 書 第 五 章 第 七 節 ： 拉 丁 全 文 是 omnen sollicitudinem vestram proicientes in Eum, quoniam Ipsi cura est de vobis。 中 文 是 「 將 你 們 的 一 切 掛 慮 都 託 給 衪 ， 因 為 衪 必 關 照 你 們 」 。 這 句 格 言 ， 為 配 合 圖 像，意 譯 如 下 「 洶 湧 波 濤 莫 驚 怕 ， 平 安 抵 岸 全 靠 衪 。 」
